Location
The media interface connector 1 is located in the glove box.
The AUX jack usually installed in the glove box has been eliminated.
Depending on the equipment version, one of the following audio devices is installed (hereinafter called "Audio equipment"):
- Radio (A2), with code 510 Audio 20 with CD changer
- Radio control panel and navigation unit (A2/56), with code 525 MB Audio 50 APS radio or with code 511 Audio 50 APS with DVD changer
- COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3), with code 528 COMAND with DVD changer, with code 527 COMAND APS with single DVD drive (with navigation) or with code 512 COMAND APS with DVD changer

Relaying signals
- Power supply from media interface control unit (N125/1) for specific portable devices connected over media interface adapter cable
- Audio signals and data from the specific portable devices connected to the media interface control unit over the media interface adapter cable
- Video signals and data from the specific portable devices connected to the "Audio equipment" over the media interface adapter cable and a direct line
- Control signals from the media interface control unit or for the specific portable devices connected over the media interface adapter cable
