| 1 | Remove trunk floor covering from trunk. | ||
| 2 | Remove spare tire cover or spare tire well trim from the luggage compartment | ||
| 3 | Connect negative terminal (5) of battery (G1) to ground (circuit 31) using adapter line (6) (arrow) | ||

| 5 | Unscrew bolt (2) | ||
| 6 | Unscrew bolt (3). | ||
| 7 | Unplug electrical connector (4) and remove battery control unit (N82) | ||

| 8 | Position battery control unit (N82) at installation location and secure with bolt (3) | ||
