	Remove/install
	Risk of injury  caused by body parts being jammed or crushed. Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by brake fluid spraying out at high pressure when working on the SBC brake system	Deactivate SBC brake system using STAR DIAGNOSIS.	AS42.46-Z-0001-01A
	Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury  caused by brake fluid coming into contact with skin and eyes.	Pour brake fluid only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid.	AS42.50-Z-0001-01A

	Completely remove and install one brake line (1 or 2) first before starting removal of the other brake line, otherwise the brake lines (1, 2) could be mixed up.
1	Deactivate SBC brake system using STAR DIAGNOSIS.	The following steps should be run through in STAR DIAGNOSIS: Select menu item "SBC-Sensotronic Brake Control"/"Deactivate 'SBC' system". Then process all the individual steps from top to bottom.

3	Remove cover (3) of expansion reservoir (4)
4	Suction off brake fluid from the expansion reservoir (4)
	Clean
5	Thoroughly clean area around brake lines (1, 2) near separation points.	Even the smallest particles of dirt, introduced into the hydraulic components, can lead to malfunctions and a total failure of the SBC system.

6	Detach brake line (1) or brake line (2) from SBC hydraulic unit (A7/3) and operating unit (5)	Place absorbent rags underneath in the area of the line connections and collect any brake fluid which runs out. Seal the connections to the brake line and SBC hydraulic unit (A7/3) immediately using stop plugs.

7	Unclip and remove brake line (1) or brake line (2) from line holders on partition wall
8	Install in the reverse order
9	Bleed brake system with STAR DIAGNOSIS	When performing the bleeding operation, it is essential to observe the instructions in the document "Bleeding brake system using STAR DIAGNOSIS". The following steps should be run through in STAR DIAGNOSIS: Select menu item "initial startup after repair"/"after opening or exchanging one or more brake lines".
