	Remove/Install
1	Move driver's seat all the way down	See Operating Instructions
2	Switch off vehicle interior lighting	See Operating Instructions
3	Unscrew bolt (4)
4	Pull hood release (5) out of the cover (1), detach release cable (6) and remove hood release (5).
5	Unscrew bolts (2)
6	Unclip clip (3) from cover (1)
7	Fold cover (1) downward	Ensure that air duct (7) is connected correctly to AC housing.
8	Slide lock on data link connector (X11/4) in direction of arrow and remove data link connector (X11/4) from cover (1)
9	Unclip central gateway control unit (N93) from cover (1) and lay down to side with lead connected
10	Unclip left front footwell lamp (E17/16) from cover (1) and lay down to side with lead connected
11	Remove cover (1) out of the footwell
12	Install in the reverse order
