Location 

One Xenon headlamp control unit is located on the underside of the left front lamp unit and the underside of the right front lamp unit respectively. The xenon headlamp control units are screwed to the housings of the front lamp units. The xenon headlamp control units are connected to the vehicle-side wiring harness via the front lamp units.

Location 

One Xenon headlamp control unit is located on the underside of the left front lamp unit and the underside of the right front lamp unit respectively. The xenon headlamp control units are screwed to the housings of the front lamp units. The xenon headlamp control units are connected to the vehicle-side wiring harness via the front lamp units.

Task 

The xenon headlamp control units work in a master/slave combination and communicate with each other via the front end CAN (CAN-G). As master the xenon headlamp control unit at the left front lamp unit synchronizes the xenon headlamp control unit at the right front lamp unit.

The master and slave function assignment is done by the connector assignment or the pin coding.

The xenon headlamp control units have the following tasks:
