Location
The multifunction sensor is located to the right in the engine compartment above the starter battery (G1/4).
Task
The multifunction sensor registers the following information about the outside air that is drawn in:
- Temperature
- Air humidity
- Pollutant concentration (carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxide)
Function
The data of the multifunction sensor are read in by the AAC [KLA] control unit (N22/1) via the AC bus. The AAC [KLA] control unit needs these as a basis for calculating climate control, recirculation air control, and for actuation of the refrigerant compressor (A9).
