Stationary heater control unit, component description - GF83.70-P-4066CE
MODEL 204 with CODE (228) Stationary heater
Location
The stationary heater control unit is integrated into the heater unit, which is located in the front area of the right wheel arch.
Task
The stationary heater control unit has the following tasks:
- Reading in of signals
- Evaluation of input factors
- Actuating components
Reading in of signals
The input factors are read in via the following connections:
- Direct line
- Interior CAN (CAN B)
Direct line
The signals from the following components are read via a direct line:
- Stationary heater radio remote control receiver (A6/1)
- Stationary heater glow plug/flame monitor unit (A6r4)
- Stationary heater temperature sensor (A6b1)
- Stationary heater thermal fuse (A6f1)
If the temperature of T = 125 °C is exceeded in the heater unit, the thermal fuse of the STH recognizes overheating via the temperature sensor and switches the stationary heater off with subsequent overheating locking.
Interior CAN
The following signals are read in over the interior CAN:
- Circuit 15 status as sent by the electronic ignition lock control unit (N73)
- Stationary heater button (N72/1s30) status as sent by the front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1)
- Crash signal, as sent by the supplemental restraint system control unit (N2/10) over the chassis CAN (CAN E) and front SAM control unit
- Control signals of left multifunction steering wheel button group (S110), as sent by the steering wheel electronics (N135) over the steering LIN (LIN E1), steering column tube module control unit (N80), chassis CAN and instrument cluster (A1)
Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the affected components are then actuated.
Component actuation
Components are actuated via the following lines:
- Direct line
- Interior CAN
Direct line
The following components are actuated via a direct line:
- Stationary heater combustion air blower (A6m2)
- Stationary heater radio remote control receiver
- Stationary heater glow plug/flame monitor unit
- Stationary heater fuel preheater heating element (A6r5) (with diesel engine)
- Stationary heater fuel shutoff valve (A6y2) (with diesel engine)
- Stationary heater switchover valve (Y16)
- Stationary heater fuel pump (Y23)
Interior CAN
The following components are actuated with the interior CAN:
- Stationary heater button over instrument panel LIN from front SAM control unit
Variants
Engine variants:
- Gasoline engine
- Diesel engine
