Remove/install rear wall window - AR67.20-P-2000CW

REMOVING Removing     
NOTES Notes on remove/install rear window   AH67.20-P-2000-01T 
1 Prepare 1-component adhesive cartridge IMPORTANT Heating time is approx. 60 minutes. AR67.10-P-1000-12CW 
SPECIAL TOOL Intermediate piece
Cartridge preheater, cartridge gun

2 Remove center head restraint in rear Model 204.0  
3 Remove paneling on left C-pillar Model 204.0 AR68.30-P-4490CW

4 Disconnect electrical connector (3) from rear window (1)    
5 Disconnect electrical connector (2) from rear window (1) and electrical connector (4) from antenna amplifier 1, rear window (A2/71) On vehicles with radio or COMAND  
6 Remove paneling on right C-pillar Model 204.0 AR68.30-P-4490CW

7 Disconnect electrical connector (5) from rear window (1)    
8 Disconnect electrical connector (6) from rear window (1) and electrical connector (7) from antenna amplifier TV 1 and DAB Band III (A94/1) On vehicles with radio or COMAND  
9 Mask off areas around rear window (1) with suitable adhesive tape NOTES Masking prevents damaging vehicle paintwork in repair area.  
DANGER Risk of injury  due to tear or warming up of cutting wire and through glass splinters when cutting out glued windows Wear protective gloves and safety glasses. AS67.00-Z-0004-01A 
10 Cut out rear window (1) with Roll out 2004 window removal tool and remove. IMPORTANT Aid of helper is required to remove rear-end window (1) from body flange.

11 Unclip contact carrier top section (10) from contact carrier bottom section (9). IMPORTANT The contact carrier top section (10) is damaged when cutting out the rear window (1).  
12 Unclip contact carrier top section (10) from contact carrier bottom section (8). On vehicles with code (889) Keyless go
IMPORTANT The contact carrier top section (10) is damaged when cutting out the rear window (1).
 
INSTALLING Install     
13 Prepare body flange for installation of window   AR67.20-P-2000-09CW 
NOTES General notes about painting the body flange in the glazing area Pay attention to notes concerning the preparation of new parts such as the A-pillar, the roof or the side walls.

14 Align rear wall window (1) in body opening IMPORTANT Aid of helper required. AR67.20-P-2000-04CW 
Distance between top edge of rear window and transition between rabbet and rear edge of roof *BE67.20-P-1001-01L 
SPECIAL TOOL Feeler gauge

15 Prepare rear wall window (1) for installation NOTES The gluing area on the rear-end window (1) must be absolutely free of dust and grease to prevent paint adhesion problem of the adhesive material when glazing. AR67.10-P-1000-03CW

16 Clip new contact carrier top section (10) into contact carrier bottom section (9).    
17 Clip new contact carrier top section (10) into contact carrier bottom section (8). On vehicles with code (889) Keyless go  
18 Open driver-side window NOTES The side window in the driver door must be opened during the curing time to prevent the rear-end window (1) from being pressed out by the air when the doors are closed.  
19 Apply adhesive material NOTES Install rear-end window (1) on body flange within 10 minutes after applying glue, otherwise adhesive force of glue starts to decrease.
IMPORTANT Uniformly apply adhesive bead at a height of approx. 13 mm.

20 Install rear window (1) and fasten with suitable adhesive tape. IMPORTANT Aid of helper required.

21 Connect electrical connector (2) to rear window (1) and electrical connector (4) to antenna amplifier 1, rear window (A2/71) On vehicles with radio or COMAND  
22 Connect electrical connector (3) to rear window (1)    
23 Install paneling on left C-pillar Model 204.0 AR68.30-P-4490CW

24 Connect electrical connector (6) to rear window (1) and electrical connector (7) to antenna amplifier TV 1 and DAB Band III (A94/1) On vehicles with radio or COMAND  
25 Connect electrical connector (5) to rear window (1)    
26 Install paneling on right C-pillar Model 204.0 AR68.30-P-4490CW

27 Clean rear-end window (1), adjacent painted parts and interior compartment Cleaner *BR00.45-Z-1007-04A 
28 Install center head restraint in rear Model 204.0
