1	Switch off engine and switch on ignition

4	Switch on exterior lights and check for proper operation	On vehicles with light and vision package, the function test of the exterior lights takes the form of a corresponding failure message on the instrument cluster. On vehicles without light and vision package, the function test of the exterior lights can be performed e.g. via the mirrors installed in the workshop.
5	Check instrument panel illumination for proper operation
6	Switch off exterior lights
7	Switch on lamps in passenger compartment and check for proper operation	Check interior lamps, reading lamps, mirror and glove compartment lamps as well front ambiance illumination and in the rear.
