REPAIR MATERIALS

BR00.45-Z-1001-07A Zinc dust paint suitable for spot welding A 000 986 34 42
  1. Mark separation lines on front longitudinal member (1) (areas A and B).
  2. Cut front longitudinal member (1) along separation lines with body saw (areas A and B).

    IMPORTANT Do not damage sheet metal panels below.

  3. Expose spot welds on front longitudinal member (1) spot welds (areas C and D).
  4. Cut spot welds out on front longitudinal member (1) with SPECIAL TOOL spot weld milling cutter or COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS Vario drill spot weld milling cutter (areas C and D).
  5. Partially remove damaged front longitudinal member (1).

    Dimensions: 

  6. Sand connection surfaces down to bare metal in shaded areas.

    IMPORTANT Sand spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.

  7. Remove grinding and drilling chips with wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
  8. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
