REPAIR MATERIALS

  1. Mark cutting lines on front longitudinal member outer section (area A).
  2. Separate cutting line on front longitudinal member outer section with body saw (area A).
  3. Remove section from front longitudinal member outer section
  4. Grind connection surfaces on section of front longitudinal member outer section down to bare metal in shaded areas

    IMPORTANT Sand spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.

  5. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.

    Dimensions: 

  6. Mark cutting line on front longitudinal member inner section (area B).
  7. Cut separation point on front longitudinal member inner section with body saw (area B).
  8. Remove section from front longitudinal member inner section.
  9. Bend open section on front longitudinal member inner section (arrow).
  10. Grind connection surfaces on front longitudinal member inner section down to bare metal in shaded areas.

    IMPORTANT Sand spot weld flanges down to bare metal on both sides.

  11. Coat insides of spot weld flanges with zinc dust paint.
