REPAIR MATERIALS

  1. Install front longitudinal member (1) with straightening tool (2), fit and fasten with COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS clamping pliers.
  2. Drill dia. 6.5 mm rivet holes in front longitudinal member (1) prepunched at the factory (area E).
  3. Remove outer section from front longitudinal member (1).
  4. Deburr rivet holes on both sides
  5. Apply primer to inside of rivet connections
  6. Install front longitudinal member outer section (1), fit and fasten with COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS manual temporary fastener.

  7. Fasten front longitudinal member (1) with COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS clamping pliers.
  8. Weld in front longitudinal member (1) with SHIELDED GAS SEAM WELD (area A).
  9. Weld in front longitudinal member SHIELDED GAS SEAM WELD (1) with (area B).
  10. Position sheet metal lug (arrow) again on front longitudinal member (1).
  11. Weld in front longitudinal member (1) with POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (areas C, D and D1 ).
  12. Rivet front longitudinal member (1) with steel/steel blind rivet, 6.5 x 12.5 (area E).
  13. Remove straightening tool.
  14. Finish welding on front longitudinal member (1) POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (area D).
  15. Clean welds with COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS round wire brush.

  16. Remove grinding and drilling chips with wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
