| 2 | Remove tie strap (arrow) and fold down insulation mat (3) | ||
| Check oil level in soft top mechanism hydraulic unit (A7/5), correct if required | AR77.37-P-3501V | ||
| Risk of injury caused by body parts being trapped or crushed when working on partially open Vario roof (stop mode) or in its closing area as a result of the Vario roof suddenly collapsing | Secure Vario roof with a suitable special tool. | ||

| 7 | Unscrew bolts (6) and lower catch center section (7) until hydraulic cylinder catch (1) is accessible | ||

| 12 | Separate hydraulic lines (8) from soft top mechanism hydraulic unit (A7/5) | AR77.37-P-1000-04V | |
The connections on the soft top mechanism hydraulic unit (A7/5) are also marked with 10" and "12". Leave emergency opening valve (4) open. |
