headlamp actuation, function - GF82.10-P-2009SK
MODEL 171.4
Driving light actuation consists of the following manual and automatic functions:
- Manual driving lamp actuation via the exterior lamp switch (S1), position "low beam ON"
- Automatic driving lamp actuation via the exterior lamp switch (S1) (position "AUTO") and the rain/light sensor (B38/2) (nighttime detected)
- Daytime running lamps depending on instrument cluster (A1) setting
Manual light activation
Function requirements:
- Exterior lamp switch (S1) in low beam "ON" position
- Circuit 30 ON
- No overvoltage or undervoltage
Automatic driving light
Function requirements:
- Exterior lamp switch (S1) in "AUTO" position
- Circuit 61 ON
- Rain/light sensor (B38/2) (night-time detected)
- No overvoltage or undervoltage
Daytime running lamps
Function requirements:
- Function has been set to active on instrument cluster (A1)
- Circuit 61 ON
- No overvoltage or undervoltage
The operation of the exterior lamp switch (S1) is read in via a discrete line by the driver-side SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1). It discretely controls the relevant front lamps. The relevant rear lamps are discretely actuated via the Controller Area Network Bus class B (interior) (CAN-B) by the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
