The following are integrated in the COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3):

• Graphics-capable 6.5" color display
• Multi-standard drive for DVD video and audio CD
• Operating unit for control of audio/navigation and telematics functions
• Central computer
• Media Oriented System Transport (MOST) interface
• AUX jack (in glove compartment)

Additional audio sources, e.g. an MP3 player, can be integrated into the front entertainment system using the AUX jack. The AUX jack is located in the glove compartment as a connection facility.
