Light warning function with standing lamp or driving light switched on manually 

Function requirements:

• The exterior lamp switch module (S1) is set to the "Standing lamp ON" or "Driving light ON" position.
• Circuit 15C OFF.
• The left door contact switch (S17/3) is open.

Function 

The transmitter key (A8/1) is removed from the electronic ignition switch control unit (N73). The driver-side SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) recognizes that the door is open from the left door contact switch (S17/3) signal and transmits the "driver door open" message to the instrument cluster via the Controller Area Network Bus class B (interior) (CAN-B). The instrument cluster (A1) receives the "driver door open" and "standing lamp ON" message via CAN-B. As soon as the instrument cluster (A1) has received both messages, the acoustic light warning function is activated.
