Anti-block device for wiper motor, function - GF82.30-P-4008SK
MODEL 171.4
Lock-up recognition
Wiper motor lockup (M6/1) is detected by the driver-side SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) due to missing cam switch signals in the wiper motor (M6/1) during an active wiper operation.
Lock-up protection when wiping at level 2
If the cam switch signal is missing for longer than 4 seconds the driver-side SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) switches the wiper motor (M6/1) back to level 1.
If the signal remains off for a further 8 seconds the driver-side SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) switches the wiper motor (M6/1) off.
If though during this 8 seconds a signal is received from the cam switch, the wiper motor (M6/1) is switched on again to stage 2.
Lock-up protection when wiping at level 1
The driver-side SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) switches the wiper motor (M6/1) off if no cam switch signals are received for longer than 12 seconds.
Canceling the lockup protection
In all cases the lockup protection is canceled if:
- the corresponding function is requested by pressing the combination switch (S4) again or
- c. 15R is switched on again.
