Manual switching on and off:
Function prerequisites:

Press the ON/OFF dome lamp switch (N70s4) to switch on the left interior lamp (N70e4) and the right interior lamp (N70e5) (dimmed). To switch off the dome lamp, press the ON/OFF dome lamp switch (N70s4) again. The lamp is automatically switched off 30 minutes after the Control Area Network bus class B (interior) (CAN-B) was deactivated. Manual switching of the interior lamp overrides all automatic interior lamp functions.
Automatic switching on and off:

When the vehicle is unlocked, the left interior lamp (N70e4) and the right interior lamp (N70e5) are switched on (dimmed). The lamps are automatically switched off 30 seconds after unlocking. When the driver or the front passenger door is opened, the left interior lamp (N70e4) and the right interior lamp are (N70e5) are switched on (dimmed). The dimmed lights are switched off under the following conditions:
- With status "Circuit 15 ON": Immediately after the last door was closed or 30 minutes after the last door was opened.
- With status "Circuit 15 OFF": 8 seconds after the last door was closed or automatically 5 minutes after the last door was opened.
After the transmitter key has been removed (A8/1) the left interior lamp (N70e4) and the right interior lamp (N70e5) are switched on (dimmed). They are switched off automatically after the "Interior lamp OFF delay time" set at the instrument cluster (A1) has expired. The "OFF delay time" can be set from 0 to 20 seconds in 5-second increments.
If circuit 15 is switched on while an automatic lighting function is active, the dimmed left interior lamp (N70e4) and the right interior lamp (N70e5) are switched off immediately.
