TELE AID control unit, task - GF82.95-P-4100-02RM

The emergency call system control unit (N123/4) has the following features and tasks:

• Integral telephone module for emergency call, MB-Info call and roadside assistance call
• Autonomous position detection
• Detection and storage of vehicle-specific data (e.g. circuit status)
• Actuation of the telephone antenna (A2/22) or the TELE AID backup antenna (A2/50)
• Voice output over the left front emergency call speaker (H4/46) and right front emergency call speaker (H4/47)
• Read in of crash data from the restraint systems control unit (N2/7) over a discrete line
• Unlocking the vehicle in an emergency (i.e. after a crash)
• Read in the status of the SOS pushbutton switch (S93/3) and the MB-Info and breakdown assistance button group (S93/6) via 2 discrete lines
• Receiving satellite data over the GPS antenna (A2/23)
• Creating an SMS and keeping it ready to send
• Muting other audio signals (e.g. radio, navigation)
