1	Remove left side paneling in trunk		AR68.30-P-4800R
2.1	Mark installation position of hydraulic line No. 102 in the luggage compartment	When removing right hydraulic cylinder lock pawl (1). Also mark the installation position of the hydraulic lines and the electrical lines, which are coupled and fastened to hydraulic line No. 102.
2.2	Mark installation position of hydraulic line No. 103 in the luggage compartment	When removing left hydraulic cylinder lock pawl (1). Also mark the installation position of the hydraulic lines and the electrical lines, which are coupled and fastened to hydraulic line No. 103.
3.1	Expose hydraulic line No. 102 in luggage compartment up to RVC [UVS] hydraulic unit	When removing right hydraulic cylinder lock pawl (1). Installation: Install new tie straps. Pay attention to installation markings.
3.2	Expose hydraulic line No. 103 in luggage compartment up to RVC [UVS] hydraulic unit	When removing left hydraulic cylinder lock pawl (1). Installation: Install new tie straps. Pay attention to installation markings.
4	Lower the trunk lid at the rear and secure in trunk lid catch	The trunk lid is in assembly position before it is closed.
5	Switch on ignition, fully open Vario roof using Vario roof switch and raise roll bar using roll bar switch	Make sure that during the Vario roof motion, no electrical or hydraulic lines are pinched and thus damaged. If the trunk partition has been removed, the trunk partition limit switch must be mechanically or electrically bridged.
6	Switch off the ignition and remove the transmitter key from the EIS control unit	On vehicles with code (889) Keyless Go, press the Keyless Go start/stop button repeatedly until the ignition is switched off. Remove the Keyless Go transmitter card or transmitter key from the vehicle and store beyond the reach of the transmitter (min. 2 m).
7	Remove interior paneling at rollover bar		AR68.30-P-1380R
8	Lower roll-over bar mechanically	Installation: Raise roll bar using roll bar switch.	AR91.50-P-8400R
9	Remove paneling on left center pillar		AR68.30-P-1077R
10	Remove retaining plate for power window of left rear side window	Mark installation position of retaining plate and power window retaining screws. Installation: Observe installation markings.	AR67.39-P-4150-01R
11	Remove seat belt for securing luggage and load in rear	When removing the right hydraulic cylinder lock pawl (1), both seat belts for case and load retention in the rear compartment must be removed. When removing the left hydraulic cylinder lock pawl (1), only the left seat belt for case and load retention in the rear compartment must be removed.	AR91.40-P-1143R

14	Unlock trunk lid in trunk lid lock, open, and move to assembly position by folding up
15	Move Vario roof manually to load assist position

18.1	Expose hydraulic line No. 102 at the rear wall up to the luggage compartment	When removing right hydraulic cylinder lock pawl (1). Installation: Install new tie straps.
18.2	Expose hydraulic line No. 103 up to the luggage compartment	When removing left hydraulic cylinder lock pawl (1). Installation: Install new tie straps.
19	Rotate hydraulic cylinder lock pawl (1) by 90°, pull back safety clamp (6), and remove hydraulic cylinder lock pawl (1) from support element (8)	Installation: Press in hydraulic cylinder lock pawl (1) with installed safety clamp (6) into the support element (8) using the fitting tool (7). Ensure that the catch hooks (arrows) are properly seated in the grooves on the hydraulic cylinder lock pawl (1). The catch hooks (arrows) should latch audibly.

22	Install in the reverse order
23	Perform a function test	When doing so, raise and lower roll bar several times using the roll bar switch.
