Function of headlamp cleaning system telescopic nozzles - GF82.15-P-2100-04R
When the washer pump starts operating pressure builds up in the washer water line At a pressure of >0.3 bar the nozzles telescope out. When the pressure exceeds 1.65 c0.3 bar, a valve on each telescoping nozzle opens and a precisely measured quantity of washing water is sprayed onto the windshield.
Swirl chambers are present at the tips of the telescoping nozzles, which ensure that the water jet is spread evenly even at high speeds. Following the cleaning process the telescoping nozzles are retracted to the initial position by return springs.
