Remove/install rain/light sensor - AR82.30-P-7800SX

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install    
NOTES Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge   AH54.00-P-0001-01A
1 Switch off ignition and withdraw transmitter key or Keyless Go start/stop button from the EZS control unit IMPORTANT Keyless Go start/stop button only for vehicles with code (889) Keyless Go.  
2.1 Unclip cover of rain/light sensor (B38/2) and remove Model 221, 216 up to model year 2011  
2.2 Completely slide cover toward front and remove Model 216 as of model year 2011  
3 Carefully push retaining tabs (1) on both sides of the rain/light sensor (B38/2) outwards and remove rain/light sensor (B38/2) NOTES Push retaining tabs (1) out carefully using a suitable screwdriver, as the retaining tabs (1) are liable to shear.  
4 Disconnect electrical connector (2) NOTES Disconnect electrical connector (2) with care, since it can otherwise become damaged.  
5 Remove rain/light sensor (B38/2) NOTES The lens of the rain/light sensor (B38/2) is stuck to the windshield and must not be removed, otherwise the lens will be damaged.  
6 Install in the reverse order    
7 Code adaptation of rain sensor and light sensor amplification factor and select type of windshield When replacing rain/light sensor (B38/2).  
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory   AD00.00-P-2000-04A
