Prepare window for installation - AR67.10-P-1000-03SXS

NOTES The gluing areas on the windshield (1) must be absolutely free of dust and grease to prevent adhesion problems with the adhesive material when installing the window.

  1. Lift windshield (1) with cup suction tool and check for scratches and damages; replace if required.

    NOTES Position cup suction tool in upper third of windshield (1). The windshield (1) must be installed at an acute angle to the A-pillars, otherwise the installation operation is unnecessary difficult and the danger exists of the windshield (1) heating against the body flange and being damaged.

  2. Clean adhesive areas on windshield (1), allow to flash off and coat with activator.

    IMPORTANT Observe flash-off time for activator.

  3. Coat adhesive areas on windshield (1) with primer.

    NOTES Observe processing instructions for primer to prevent adhesion problems with the adhesive material when installing the window.

  4. Detach protective foil on inside of windshield (1) in area of upper and lower corners, pull inward along dotted lines (in lower area approx. 5 cm above screen printing) and hold in place with suitable adhesive tape.
  5. Hold electric lines for wiper park heater connector in place on outside of windshield (1) with suitable adhesive tape.
  6. Hold electric lines for heated windshield connector in place on outside of windshield (1) with suitable adhesive tape.
