Only carry out the oil level check at interior temperature and not on a rear axle center assembly which is at operating temperature. Otherwise, when the rear axle differential is at operating temperature, required oil could escape.
- Clean area around oil filler screw (50 g).
- Remove oil filler screw (50 g)
Replace oil filler screw (50g).
- If necessary, collect any oil which runs out and allow to run out until the oil still only drips out of threaded hole.
- Check oil level.
- Clean new oil filler screw and threaded hole in rear axle differential using cleaning spray and a suitable rag.
- Coat roughly one droplet of sealant on the second or third lower thread of the new oil filler screw.
- Screw oil filler screw into rear axle center assembly immediately and tighten to specified tightening torque.
