Install A-pillar closing panel - AR63.20-P-1100-14SX

REPAIR MATERIALS

  1. Apply 2-component adhesive material in shaded areas.

    IMPORTANT Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

    IMPORTANT Refer to manufacturer specifications for adhesive curing and application times.

  2. Install A-pillar closing panel (1), fit and fasten using SPECIAL TOOL welding device and COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS clamping pliers.
  3. A-pillar closing panel (1) POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (areas A, B, C, D and E).
  4. Install upper firewall support (3) and lower firewall support (4), fit and fasten using COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS clamping pliers.
  5. Upper firewall support (3) and lower firewall support (4) POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (areas F, G, H and I).
  6. Apply 2-component adhesive material in shaded areas.

    IMPORTANT Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.

    IMPORTANT Refer to manufacturer specifications for adhesive curing and application times.

  7. Install A-pillar support (2), fit and fasten using COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS clamping pliers.
  8. A-pillar support (2) with A-pillar closing panel (1), upper firewall support (3) and lower firewall support (4) with POLARIZATION RESISTANCE SINGLE-ROW SPOT WELD (areas J, K, L, M and N).

  9. Clean welds using COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TOOLS round wire brush.
  10. Remove sanding dust using wet/dry vacuum cleaner.
  11. Using zinc dust paint, coat insides of spot weld joints that were not additionally bonded.
