Remove/install sidebag unit in the rear - AR91.60-P-0694SXS

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by performing testing or repair work on airbag or emergency tensioning retractor units. Store airbag units with deployment side facing up; do not expose to temperatures greater than 100 °C. When working on these units, disconnect the power supply. AS91.00-Z-0001-01A
NOTES Notes on performing repair, body work and welding on vehicles with airbags and ETR units   AH91.00-P-0002-01M
IMPORTANT Assessment of airbag and belt tensioner units in accident vehicles   AH91.00-P-0006-01B
IMPORTANT Legal requirements on handling and storing airbags and emergency tensioning retractor units   AH91.00-P-0004-01A
1 Remove left or right rear seat backrest   AR91.12-P-1620SXS
2 Detach electrical connector (3) from left rear sidebag squib (R12/11) or right rear sidebag squib (R12/12)    
3 Unscrew nuts (2) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA91.60-P-1006-01L 
4 Detach sidebag unit (1) IMPORTANT If the sidebag unit (1) is being replaced, the defective sidebag unit (1) must be properly disposed of.

5 Install in the reverse order    
6.1 Check supplemental restraint system (SRS) with STAR DIAGNOSIS After replacing sidebag unit (1).  
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory   AD00.00-P-2000-04A
