	Remove/install
	Risk of injury  caused by performing testing or repair work on airbag or emergency tensioning retractor units.	Store airbag units with deployment side facing up; do not expose to temperatures greater than 100 °C. When working on these units, disconnect the power supply.	AS91.00-Z-0001-01A
	Risk of injury.  Injury may result when the tension in the spring in the automatic belt retractor is released.	Never disassemble automatic belt retractors.	AS91.00-Z-0002-01A

1	Remove left or right trim from B-pillar		AR68.30-P-4700SX
2	Switch off ignition and withdraw transmitter key or Keyless Go start/stop button from the EZS control unit	Keyless Go start/stop button only on vehicles with code (889) Keyless Go.
3	Undo bolt (3) from seat belt guide bracket (2)	Bolt, front upper belt guide fitting	*BA91.40-P-1002-01O
4	Remove bolt (4) on automatic belt retractor (1)	Bolt, front automatic belt retractor	*BA91.40-P-1004-01O
5	Disconnect electrical connectors (6) on driver emergency tensioning retractor squib (R12/1) and driver belt force limiter (R12/27) or on front passenger emergency tensioning retractor squib (R12/2) and front passenger belt force limiter (R12/26)	Pull air duct (5) to one side until the automatic belt retractor (1) is accessible.
6	Route automatic belt retractor (1) out of catch (arrow) in B-pillar	If the automatic belt retractor (1) is replaced, the faulty automatic belt retractor (1) must be disposed of properly.
7	Install in the reverse order
8	Connect Star Diagnosis and perform initial startup of PRE-SAFE	MODEL 221.0/1 with CODE 299 (PRE-SAFE) After replacing the seat belt with emergency tensioning retractor.
