REMOVING Removing     
DANGER Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.  
DANGER Risk of death  caused by high voltage used for electric welding. Risk of explosion  caused by welding in the area of highly inflammable materials. Risk of injury  caused by welding splatter and UV light while welding. Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling welding fumes. Use insulating mats. Wear protective clothing, safety glasses and protective mask. Remove highly inflammable materials from the hazard area. Use air extractor system.  
DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by fuel igniting, risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling and swallowing fuel and risk of injury  to eyes and skin caused by contact with fuel No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking.
Pour fuels only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.
Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.

4 Remove floor mats    
5 Remove detachable parts in area to be repaired    
6 Cover all detachable parts remaining in vehicle Tarp (fire-resistant)  
7.1 Fit shims for straightening bench IMPORTANT The shim plates are required as of vehicle no. 165 to compensate the height difference between the welded spacer plates on the rear-axle mount in relation to the other lift support points. On vehicles up to vehicle no. 164 the plates are only inserted and can be removed when installing the straightening bench.  
REFER TO SHOP-MADE TOOLS Shim for MZ elements Model 220.8 WF58.50-P-3330-05A
8 Equip Celette or Car-Bench straightening bench with modular members or cross members and straightening set IMPORTANT Observe setup plans provided.
IMPORTANT With model 220.8, the module members at the B1-S-column must be offset backwards by a meter.
IMPORTANT Fit shims with relevant MZ elements on straightening bench.

9 Place vehicle on straightening bench using two-column lift Two-post lifting platform 3.0-3.5 t, electromechanical  
10 Fasten vehicle to straightening bench    
11 Remove rear fender   AR63.50-P-1400M 
12 Remove inner C-pillar side wall (1)   AR63.10-P-0700-01M

Vario Drill WS 91 spot weld removing tool
Ball cutter, dia. 12 mm
Round wire brush, braided, dia. 70 mm
Abrasive disk, dia. 115 mm, 80 m/s (max. 13, 250 rpm)
Cutting disk, Ø 65 mm, 80 m/s (max. 23, 500 rpm)

INSTALLING Install     
14 Install side portal straightening set IMPORTANT Observe setup plans provided.

16 Install rear fender   AR63.50-P-1400M 
17 Unfasten vehicle from straightening bench    
18 Lift vehicle with two-post lift Two-post lifting platform 3.0-3.5 t, electromechanical  
19 Remove straightening bench.    
20 Clean weld joints and sheet metal flange with round wire brush Round wire brush, braided, dia. 70 mm  
21 Clean repair areas    
22 Prime repair area using primer filler    
23 Carry out seam sealing after repairs IMPORTANT Supplement standard sealants with MB body sealant.

24 Paint repair areas and adjacent surfaces    
25 Apply additional cavity preservation
