REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install
DANGER Risk of injury  to skin and eyes caused by scalding from contact with hot coolant spray.
Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing coolant.
Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

NOTES Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge   AH54.00-P-0001-01A
1 Remove air filter housing (3).   AR09.10-P-1150GZA
2 Reduce pressure in the engine cooling system, to do this, slowly open the cap (1) at the expansion reservoir (2) for the coolant and close again IMPORTANT The coolant temperature should be approx. 40°C.
IMPORTANT Do not drain off coolant.

3 Disconnect electrical connector on crankshaft Hall sensor (B70)
4 Unlatch the electrical connector at the coolant temperature sensor (B11/4) and disconnect
5 Remove bolt (4) and remove clamping plate (5) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA15.60-P-1001-01A
6 Fit new O-ring (6) to new coolant temperature sensor (B11/4)
7 Pull coolant temperature sensor (B11/4) out of cylinder head and immediately insert new coolant temperature sensor (B11/4)
8 Install in the reverse order
9 Pour in coolant and bleed cooling system   AR20.00-P-1142GZC
10 Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read fault memory IMPORTANT Stored faults which may be caused by disconnecting cables or by simulation during test operations, must be erased in the fault memory after completing the work.
