Coolant temperature sensor

| Risk of injury
to skin and eyes caused by scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing coolant. |
Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses. |

| 1 | Remove air filter housing (3). | AR09.10-P-1150GZA | |
| 2 | Reduce pressure in the engine cooling system, to do this, slowly open the cap (1) at the expansion reservoir (2) for the coolant and close again | ||
| 3 | Disconnect electrical connector on crankshaft Hall sensor (B70) | ||
| 4 | Unlatch the electrical connector at the coolant temperature sensor (B11/4) and disconnect | ||
| 5 | Remove bolt (4) and remove clamping plate (5) | *BA15.60-P-1001-01A | |
| 6 | Fit new O-ring (6) to new coolant temperature sensor (B11/4) | ||
| 7 | Pull coolant temperature sensor (B11/4) out of cylinder head and immediately insert new coolant temperature sensor (B11/4) | ||
| 8 | Install in the reverse order | ||
| 9 | Pour in coolant and bleed cooling system | AR20.00-P-1142GZC | |
| 10 | Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read fault memory |
