The fuel tank is attached to the frame floor ahead of the rear axle.

Design model 164 

The fuel tank consists of 2-layered plastic. It is split into 2 chambers by the U-form cutout. The chambers are connected with each other.

The fuel tank consists of 2-layered plastic. The fuel tank consists of one chamber.

Function model 164 

The swirl pot is located in the right fuel tank chamber in the fuel tank. It ensures that there is a sufficient and free of bubbles fuel supply to the engine for a low fuel level and during long cornering. The swirl pot is filled with fuel over the suction jet pump on the right and left.

The fuel pump is located in the swirl pot which delivers fuel over the fuel strainer out of the swirl pot to the fuel main filter.

IMPORTANT The swirl pot with fuel pump and suction jet pump on the right is called the fuel feed module.

Function model 463 

The fuel pump and the STH fuel metering pump are attached at the bottom on the outside of the tank.

The fuel level sensor is located at the top in the tank.

The swirl pot is located in the fuel tank. It ensures that there is a sufficient and free of bubbles fuel supply to the engine for a low fuel level and during long cornering.

The fuel is pumped out of the fuel tank to the fuel main filter via the connection fitting at the bottom on the tank.
