Remove/install air pump - AR14.30-P-7251GZA (ML350, ML550, GL450, GL550)

	Remove/install
	Risk of injury caused by fingers being pinched or crushed when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lids, tailgates or sliding roof	Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts.	AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
1	Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key from the EIS [EZS] control unit	On vehicles with code (889) Keyless Go: Press keyless go start/stop button repeatedly until ignition is switched off. Remove transmitter key from vehicle and store it in a location beyond its transmission range (at least 2 m).
2	Remove front engine cover
3	Remove air intake hose (5) on electric air pump (M33)
4	Disconnect electrical connector (6) on electric air pump (M33)
5	Detach bracket for electric air pump (3) from cylinder head and timing case cover by removing bolts (7)		*BA14.30-P-1002-01D
6	Remove bracket for engine cover (2) from front cover on cylinder head and from bracket for electric air pump (3) by removing bolts (4)		*BA14.30-P-1001-01D
7	Detach air hoses (8, 9) from electric air pump (M33)
8	Remove the electrical air pump (M33) with the bracket of the electrical air pump (3)
9	Remove electric air pump (M33) from bracket for electric air pump (3)	When replacing the electric air pump (M33). Installation: Check rubber bearing bushings on the bracket for electric air pump (3) for damage and wear; replace if necessary.

10	Install in the reverse order
11	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read fault memory	Stored faults which may be caused by disconnecting cables or by simulation during test operations, must be erased in the fault memory after completing the work.	AD00.00-P-2000-04A
