Location

The left exhaust gas recirculation positioner is located at the rear on the left next to the turbocharger.

Task

In order to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOX ) emission the exhaust gas is led into the engine intake tract. This takes place via a duct, whose cross-section can be modified by the left exhaust gas recirculation positioner. The left exhaust gas recirculation positioner is actuated via the CDI control unit (N3/9).
