Separate timing chain - AR05.10-P-7601-01AV

Assemble chain separating tool (1) and thrust spindle (2).

Fit the chain separating tool (1) with the pressure screw (2) at the chain link to the right of the copper plate on the timing chain (4).
See new timing chain.
Screw in the guide sleeve (3) of the pressure screw (2) till it touches the chain link.
Ensure that the guide sleeve (3) is located above the clinch bolt of the chain link.
Screw in the pressure screw (2) and separate the timing chain (4).
Remove the pressure screw (2).
Remove the chain separating tool (1)and fit it at the second clinch bolt.
Repeat steps 3, 4 and 5 at the second clinch bolt.
Do not let the pushed out clinch bolts and plates to fall into the crankcase.
Remove the chain separating tool (1).
