Remove/install chain tensioner, with thread M24 X 1.5 - AR05.10-P-7800GZA (ML350): Notes

REMOVING Removing    
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by pinching or crushing  when working on springs or spring bodies that are under tension Only use approved tensioning devices; shield off hazard area if necessary.
Inspect special tools for damage and proper operation (visual inspection).
Wear protective gloves.

1 Remove alternator Model 164 AR15.40-P-5032GZA
    Model 251 AR15.40-P-5032RTA
2 Unscrew end piece (1) from chain tensioner housing (5) and remove sealing ring (2)    
3 Pull push spring (3) and filler pin (4) out of chain tensioner housing (5)    
4 Remove chain tensioner housing (5) from timing case cover (6)    
INSTALLING Install     
5 Installing chain tensioner NOTES It is essential to follow the chain tensioner installation sequence, otherwise the chain tensioner may not function correctly. Renew seals (2, 7). AR05.10-P-7800-02VA 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA05.10-P-1001-01B 
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA05.10-P-1002-01B 
6 Install alternator Model 164 AR15.40-P-5032GZA
    Model 251 AR15.40-P-5032RTA
DANGER Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

7 Carry out an engine test run and check the engine for leaks
