2	Remove front engine cover	Do not tilt front engine cover, but lift upwards vertically otherwise the retaining lugs can break off.
3	Remove oil filter cover	Installation: Replace sealing ring.

4	Screw on test connection (1) with sealing ring to oil filter housing	Check whether there is a sealing ring on test connection (1) and mount one if not to prevent leaks.

7	Check engine oil level and correct if required.	The vehicle must be positioned horizontally on the wheels, otherwise false measurements occur.
8	Guide temperature sensor of the remote thermometer through the oil dipstick guide tube into the engine oil and read off the engine oil temperature from the remote thermometer.	Remote thermometer	Figure
9	Start the engine and measure oil pressure	Bring engine up to operating temperature (approx. 80°C). When the throttle is opened, the oil pressure must rise without any delay.

10	Install in the reverse order
11	Check engine oil level and replenish oil if necessary	The vehicle must be positioned horizontally on the wheels, otherwise false measurements occur.
12	Conduct engine test run and check the engine for leaks while it is running	In the event of oil loss determine and eliminate cause, otherwise malfunctions, transmission damage, and serious environmental pollution may occur.
