ME-SFI transmission shift delay - function - GF07.61-P-4023BK
ENGINE 113.967 in MODEL 219
ENGINE 113.964 in MODEL 164.1
ENGINE 113.971 in MODEL 251
The transmission shift delay warms up the catalytic converter more rapidly to its operating temperature after engine start.
The transmission shift delay is performed completely electronically in automatic transmission 722.9. No additional components are required.
The engine control unit requests from the transmission control unit via the CAN databus to alter the shift characteristic curves. The speed signal is provided via the CAN databus.
The partial loading shifts from 1st to 2nd gear and from 2nd into 3rd gear take place at a high motor speed.
The transmission shift delay is active for max. 60 s under the following conditions:
- Coolant temperature at start less than 35°C
- Speed less than 40 km/hour
