Location 

The TWC temperature sensor is located on the oxidation catalytic converter.

Task 

The TWC temperature sensor determines the current exhaust gas temperature upstream of the oxidation catalytic converter.

Design 

The TWC temperature sensor consists of a metal housing with a negative temperature coefficient (NTC) resistor and a 2-pin plug connector.

Function 

The integral NTC resistor in the TWC temperature sensor changes its electrical resistance according to the exhaust gas temperature. Electrical resistance decreases as temperature increases.
