Sound amplifier, component description - GF82.62-P-3009GZ
MODEL 164 with CODE (810) Sound system
The amplifier for sound system is installed under the driver seat. It is an amplifier for audio signals and produces a natural, clear and undistorted sound.
The amplifier for sound system contains:
- Linear amplifier stages
- High-resolution digital filter structures for the equalizer
- Electronics for digital signal processing
The amplifier for sound system works with the latest Digital Signal Processing technology. For the audio sector, this means processing audio tracks using mathematical algorithms with the aim of improving the acoustic sound properties. The amplifier for sound system receives all the input and control signals via the Media Oriented System Transport (MOST). The amplifier for sound system is controlled by the COMAND operating, display and control unit (A40/3) (COMAND APS (with navigation) (code 527) or the radio and navigation unit (A2/56) (MB Audio 50 APS radio (code 525)) or the radio (A2) (MB 20 radio (code 523).
For the Audio-Mute function, there is an external input for "Telephone Mute" and muting for an emergency call via TELE AID (Telematic Alarm Identification on Demand (emergency call system).
The amplifier for sound system is equipped with a dynamic volume adaptation. For the dynamic volume adaptation, the volume inside the vehicle is measured via a separate sound amplifier microphone (B25/6). Using this measured volume, the volume level is dynamically adapted to the background noise. The sound amplifier microphone is located in the overhead control panel control unit (N70).
Sound amplifier microphone
The sound amplifier microphone is located in the overhead control panel control unit. It measures the interior noise in the vehicle and routes these values to the amplifier for sound system. The amplifier for sound system evaluates the measurement results and adapts the volume of the active audio source.
