Remove/install rear axle shaft - AR35.30-P-0620GX

	Removing
1	Remove parking brake shoes		AR42.20-P-0530GX
2	Remove left rear RPM sensor (L6/3) or right rear RPM sensor (L6/4) from wheel carrier (3)
3	Undo screws (2) for fastening the bearing cap (3) on the axle tube (5)
4	Pull out rear axle shaft (4).	Do not damage the ABS measuring ring as otherwise the ABS will be rendered inoperative. Unhook the hand brake cable.
	Checking
5	Check rear axle shaft (4) for signs of damage.	If damaged parts at rear axle shaft (4) have to be replaced: ↓ Disassemble and assemble rear axle shaft (4)	AR35.30-P-7351GX
	Install
6	Slide O-ring onto protective ring	Replace the seal between the axle tube (5) and brake carrier plate.
7	Install rear axle shaft (4).	Fit hand brake cable.
8	Turn in screws (2) for fastening the bearing cap (3) to the axle tube (5)	First tighten bolts (2) crosswise uniformly up to the stop on the bearing cap (3) and the brake carrier plate on the axle tube (5), then tighten each one further by half a turn until the specified tightening torque is reached, as otherwise the bearing cap (3) may work its way loose.	*BA35.30-P-1001-01C
9	Insert left rear RPM sensor (L6/3) or right rear RPM sensor (L6/4) into bearing cap (3)
10	Measure distance between measuring ring and RPM sensor and adjust by moving the RPM sensor in the bearing cap (3)	Ensure that magnetic end is clean. Feeler gauge	*BE42.30-P-1001-01A
11	Install brake shows on parking brake		AR42.20-P-0530GX
