The radio is located in the center of the instrument panel.

Reading in the controls and input signals 

The input factors are read in via the following connections:

• Media Oriented System Transport (MOST) 

Direct line 

The radio is equipped with the following direct connections:

Interior CAN 

The radio is an interior CAN subscriber. It communicates with the following components:

• Instrument cluster (A1)
• EZS control unit (N73)

The input values are processed in the radio.

Design 

Function 

The actuation of the buttons on the radio is read in, provided to the integrated central computer, processed and notified to the other system components in the form of a message via MOST or the interior CAN. If the "ON" button on the radio is pressed, the radio switches on or off. The volume is controlled using the volume adjustment rotary switch for the audio source that is currently being used. The user can switch to the required system component by pressing the menu buttons.

6-disk CD changer 

The integrated CD changer can be used to play audio CDs (including in MP3 format).
