Workshop level adjustments, general
The workshop level serves the technician in the workshop for reading out vehicle and service data and provides assistance with carrying out the service.
Function sequence of workshop level settings
In order to get to the workshop level of the instrument cluster (A1), in the base menu of the multifunction display (A1p13) the instrument illumination variable resistor (A1r1) must be pressed three times in sequence within t = 2 s.
The basic menu in the multifunction display then changes into the workshop mode.
It is possible to change between the individual submenus via the scroll forward/back button (S110s1) in the left multifunction steering wheel button group (S110):
- Voltage indicator of on-board electrical system (in V)
- System functions of instrument cluster
- Chassis number
- Dynamometer test mode
Switching the roller test mode in the instrument cluster on and off is required so that no fault is entered in the ESP control unit (N30/4) when driving onto a dynamometer.
In the roller test mode submenu it is possible to change between "ON" and "Circuit 15 OFF" with the scroll forward/back button:
- "On" condition selected:
After a circuit change from circuit 15R OFF to circuit 15R ON the roller test mode submenu is shown again (reminder notification)
- "Circuit 15 Off selected:
After a circuit change from circuit 15R OFF to circuit 15R ON the system jumps to the menu before the change to the workshop mode
