1	Measure the distance between the center of the front bolt (6) for attaching the trailing arm to the rear axle (4) and bottom edge of the tubular crossmember (5)	This distance is the supplementary dimension for the rear axle which is required in step 3 for determining the specified caster value. It has the designation "a".
2	Measure the distance between the center of the rear bolt (3) for attaching the trailing arm to the front axle (1) and the bottom edge of the frame (2)	This distance is the supplementary dimension for the front axle which is required in step 3 for determining the specified caster value. It has the designation "b".
3.1	Enter the auxiliary dimensions determined in steps 1 and 2 into the electronic measuring system's computer	The auxiliary dimensions correspond to the level of the front and rear axles, the computer then calculates the caster specified value using these values.
3.2	Determine specified caster value in nomogram	If an electronic measuring system is not available for use then the caster specified value must be determined with the aid of a nomogram.
