Testing quiescent current - AR54.10-P-1030-03GX

IMPORTANT Observe the limit value of the digital multimeter used for current measurements. When the central locking is operated, a current of approx. 20 A flows. First adjust the highest current measuring range.

IMPORTANT Digital multimeter

IMPORTANT Do not activate any other consumers during the test. A run-on time of the control units of approx. 4 min is to be taken into account for each measurement.

  1. Switch off ignition.

IMPORTANT Between switching off the ignition and the quiescent current test at least 30 minutes must have passed so that the in-car temperature sensor fan motor (N70m1) can cut out.

  2. Lock vehicle.

IMPORTANT After locking wait for at least 4 minutes due to the run-on time of the control units.

  3. Check quiescent current: specified current ≤35 mA.
  4. Unlock vehicle.

IMPORTANT After unlocking wait for at least 4 minutes due to the run-on time of the control units.

  5. Check quiescent current: specified current ≤35 mA.
