Outside air temperature sensor function - GF83.57-P-2103-01T

The resistance of the outside temperature display temperature sensor (B14) depends on the outside temperature. The resistance value is evaluated by the driver-side SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1) and made available to the corresponding control units via the interior CAN.

Taking into account vehicle speed during the measurement of outside temperature prevents excessive temperatures from arising due to a vehicle standstill or driving slowly, e.g. through thermal radiation from the engine, and being passed on.

The coolant temperature sensor (B14) operates in a range of values between 40°C and +85°C.

The last temperature measured is used when the ignition is switched on and off and at speeds below 20 km/h.
