Driving lights actuation encompasses the control of low beam and high beam.
Actuation alternatives for low beam:
- Manually via the exterior lamp switch (S1)
- Automatically through the rain/light sensor (B38/2) when the exterior lamp switch (S1) is in the "Auto" position
- Automatically through the daytime running lamps function (must be activated in the instrument cluster (A1))
For reason of legal provisions the function cannot be deactivated on the national versions

Actuation alternatives for high beam
- Manually via the combination switch (S4)
Headlamp range adjustment
The headlamp range can be adapted manually to the vehicle load by means of the headlamp range adjustment thumb wheel (S1s8) in the exterior lamp switch (S1).
Switched-on lights reminder
If the transmitter key (A8/1) is removed and the driver-side door is open when the exterior lights are switched on an acoustic lights on warning function is triggered.
