Destination guidance in digitalized map area, function - GF82.61-P-4000T

MODEL 211.0 /2 up to 31.5.06 with CODE (525) MB Audio 50 APS radio with CODE (527) Navigation module for COMAND 

For trips within the digitized map area, the following information is available to the user:

• Current position and vehicle route on digital map (illustrated graphically)
• Route list
• Distance from the destination and estimated time of arrival
• Direction recommendation
• Arrow indicating the driving direction
• Name of the road currently being traveled along
• Name of the next road into which the vehicle should turn
• Distance from the next junction (specified in units of length or as a bar graph)

The compass direction of north, south, east or west is given by a graphic display and voice output. The compass direction is displayed only in the case of numbered roads. No data and display of the compass direction is given in the case of roads designated by name (e.g. within towns).

For destination guidance, 3 illustration modes are possible:

• Map
• Map and symbol presentation of the turn-off points
• Symbol presentation (system of navigation symbols)

The scale of the map can be changed in stages. In addition to this a selection can be made as to whether the map is to be aligned in the direction of travel (Head-Up) or towards the North (North-Up).

The CD model (with the most up-to-date detailed geometry) is recognized automatically and the graphics displayed in an optimized second line thickness.

Actual destination guidance is significantly supported via voice output.
