Location 

The Bluetooth antenna is located in the stowage tray in the center console.

IMPORTANT Depending on the equipment installed one of the following control units will be installed, hereafter referred to as the "audio unit":

Task 

Receiving signals 

IMPORTANT To be able to operate a Bluetooth-compatible mobile phone that is authorized on the "audio unit" in the vehicle in vehicles without code 386 Preinstallation for telephone "cell phone", UPCI [UHI] system, the mobile phone must support Hands Free Profile (HFP) 1.0 or 1.5. IMPORTANT On vehicles with code 498 Japan version, a Bluetooth-compatible mobile phone can only be operated if no mobile phone is connected to the cell phone separation point (X39/37) and the mobile phone adapter cable. Here too, the mobile phone must be authorized at the "audio equipment" and must support HFP 1.0 or 1.5. More information is available under:

Converting signals 

The Bluetooth antenna converts the mobile phone signals and data to electrical signals and vice versa.
