Remove/install lamp for vanity mirror - AR82.20-P-5582T

MODEL 211.0 with CODE (543) Sun visors with illuminated mirror

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/Install     
1.1 Open tilting/sliding roof on vehicles with code (414a) electric glass titling/sliding roof
IMPORTANT See Operating Instructions
 
2 Remove left and right paneling from Remove A-pillar   AR68.30-P-4050T
3 Remove handles from roof at left and right front   AR68.30-P-4330T
4 Remove left and right paneling from Loosen B-pillar (7) and place suitable spacer (6) underneath seat belt above height adjustment IMPORTANT Do not remove seat belt.

Remove/install paneling on B-pillar (7) AR68.30-P-4700T
5 Remove edge guard (2) on driver door cutout and front passenger door cutout    
6 Remove left and right paneling from front entrance (1)    
7 Remove edge guard (4) from door cutout of left rear door and right rear door    
8 Remove left and right paneling from rear entrance (3)    
9 Remove handles from roof at left and right rear   AR68.30-P-4330T
10.1 Remove left and right rear dome lamp On vehicles with code (413) panoramic sliding roof and on vehicles with code (413) panoramic sliding roof and code (419) solar module for panoramic roof AR82.20-P-0113TA 
11.1 Unscrew bolts (15) from headliner (8) On vehicles with code (413) panoramic sliding roof and on vehicles with code (413) panoramic sliding roof and code (419) solar module for panoramic roof  
12 Move left and right seats all the way back and move backrests to prone position to extent possible IMPORTANT See Operating Instructions  
13 Remove overhead control panel control unit   AR82.20-P-1000T 
14 Unscrew screws (11) and remove inside rearview mirror carrier (12) from headliner (8).    
15 Unscrew bolts (13), remove left and right sun visor (9)    
16.1 Remove front cover strip (16) from tilting/sliding roof on vehicles with code (414a) electric glass titling/sliding roof  
17 Pull out dowel bolt (14) of headliner (8) from roof panel    
18.1 Pull headliner (8) forward a short distance until it is possible to guide the rear edge of the sliding roof opening over the sliding roof cassette on vehicles with code (414a) electric glass titling/sliding roof  
19 Place suitable spacer (5) under headliner (8) on left and right IMPORTANT In the area of the B-pillar, between roof panel and headliner (8).  
20 Lower headliner (8) at front NOTES Lower headliner (8) carefully, as strong deformation can lead to damage.  
21 Unclip covering (10) from right and left sun visor pivot bearing (18)    
22 Remove left front vanity mirror illumination (E14/6) and right front vanity mirror illumination (E14/7). To do this, cut old ribbon cable set (17) after folding for strain-relief (arrow)    
23 Remove left and right sun visor pivot bearing (18). To do this, cut old ribbon cable set (17) on left and right of particular sun visor pivot bearing (18)    
24 Remove remaining pieces of old ribbon cable set (17) in the area of the overhead control panel retaining frame IMPORTANT Note correct installation positions.  
25 Place new ribbon cable set (17) with left front vanity mirror illumination (E14/6) and right front vanity mirror illumination (E14/7) on headliner (8) IMPORTANT Part of the old ribbon cable set (17) remains on the headliner (8) and is used as a template for installing the new ribbon cable set (17).  
26 Clip left front vanity mirror illumination (E14/6) and right front vanity mirror illumination (E14/7) into installation frame    
27 Fit new ribbon cable set (17) with a fold for strain relief (arrow) in the area of the left front vanity mirror illumination (E14/6) and right front vanity mirror illumination (E14/7) NOTES Observe position of fold, otherwise the left front vanity mirror illumination (E14/6) and the right front vanity mirror illumination (E14/7) cannot be taken out of the headliner (8) when replacing the bulbs and the ribbon cable set (17) will be damaged.  
28 Glue new ribbon cable set (17) onto headliner (8) NOTES Press strips of adhesive tape on sufficiently, otherwise a short circuit can result from the ribbon cable set (17) chafing on the roof paneling

29 Install in the reverse order IMPORTANT From step 21.
