Remove/install bulbs of headlamp unit - AR82.10-P-1201T

MODIFICATION NOTES

20.1.04 "Disconnect/connect battery ground line" removed
REMOVING Removing     
DANGER Risk of death  caused by high voltage levels present at xenon headlamps.
Risk of explosion/fire hazard  through highly flammable material in the area of damaged xenon bulbs.
Risk of injury  through UV light, hot components on xenon headlamps and glass splinters when xenon bulbs burst.
Risk of poisoning  through inhalation of mercury vapor and swallowing of or skin contact with toxic salts and mercury compounds.
Do not come into contact with parts that are under high voltage. Persons with active electronic implants (e.g. heart pacemakers) must never work on xenon headlamps.
Switch off complete lighting system. Wear insulating safety shoes, safety glasses and protective gloves. Remove highly inflammable materials from the hazard area. Ensure that the workplace is sufficiently ventilated.

1 Remove cover (3) from left front lamp unit (E1) or right front lamp unit (E2)    
2 Release left or right xenon headlamp ignition module (E1n2, E2n2) at left front lamp unit (E1) or right front lamp unit (E2) by rotating and remove NOTES Carefully remove xenon headlamp ignition module (E1n2, E2n2), since the catch tabs can break off.
IMPORTANT Electrical connector (2) is unplugged automatically.
 
3 Release retaining springs (1)    
4 Remove left low beam (E1e2) from left front lamp unit (E1) or right low beam (E2e2) from right front lamp unit (E2) NOTES Do not touch the left low beam (E1e2) or right low beam (E2e2) glass bulb with bare fingers. Handle using a soft, clean cloth instead. Otherwise the left low beam (E1e2) or right low beam (E2e2) may become soiled, which in turn may cause malfunctions later on.  
INSTALLING Install     
5 Insert left low beam (E1e2) into left front lamp unit (E1) or right low beam (E2e2) into right front lamp unit (E2) NOTES Do not touch the left low beam (E1e2) or right low beam (E2e2) glass bulb with bare fingers. Handle using a soft, clean cloth instead. Otherwise the left low beam (E1e2) or right low beam (E2e2) may become soiled, which in turn may cause malfunctions later on.
IMPORTANT Ensure that they are installed in the correct position (notch).
 
6 Lock retaining springs (1)    
7 Fit left or right xenon headlamp ignition module (E1n2, E2n2) to left front lamp unit (E1) or right front lamp unit (E2) and lock in position by rotating IMPORTANT Observe correct installation position.  
8 Connect electrical connector (2)    
9 Attach cover (3) to left front lamp unit (E1) or right front lamp unit (E2) IMPORTANT Ensure cover (3) is correctly seated.
