Remove/install CD drive in the Audio 50 APS - AR82.61-P-0100A

MODEL 171.4 up to 2.3.08 except CODE (809) Model year 2009 with CODE (525) MB Audio 50 APS radio After expiration of 24-month manufacturer's warranty for the radio and navigation unit 

MODEL 211.0 /2 /6 up to 1.6.08 except CODE (809) Model year 2009 with CODE (525) MB Audio 50 APS radio After expiration of 24-month manufacturer's warranty for the radio and navigation unit 

MODEL 219.3 up to 2.3.08 except CODE (809) Model year 2009 with CODE (525) MB Audio 50 APS radio After 24-month manufacturer's warranty for the radio and navigation unit has expired

	Remove/install
	Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge		AH54.00-P-0001-01A
	The following fault messages require the CD drive (1) to be replaced: CD/DVD cannot be ejected General CD/DVD read error
1	Remove radio and navigation unit (A2/56) or radio control panel and navigation unit (A2/56) and place on an electrostatic discharge (ESD) workstation	Otherwise damage may occur to the electronics in the CD-drive (1) or the radio and navigation unit (A2/56) or the radio control panel and navigation unit (A2/56). ESD protection gotis://E_82_04.0

2	Remove safety film attached to side of radio and navigation unit (A2/56) or radio control panel and navigation unit (A2/56)
3	Remove bolts (2)
4	Swivel housing upper section (3) upwards until the electrical connector (5) is accessible	Installation:  Ensure that upper section of housing (3) is seated correctly on lower section of housing (4).
5	Separate electrical connector (5)	Avoid contacting the conductor tracks on the PCB as otherwise damage may occur to the electronics in the CD drive (1).
6	Detach upper section of housing (3) from lower section of housing (4)
7	Unlock locks (6) by spreading upper section of housing (3) and remove CD drive (1) from upper section of housing (3)	Installation:  Ensure that CD drive (1) is seated correctly on upper section of housing (3) (arrows) and in locks (6).
8	Install in the reverse order
9	Check navigation function	Start navigation, enter destination and start route guidance.
10	Check playback function of an audio CD
